The centre is situated in a stunning location in the heart of the Burren. It is surrounded by the famous flora and fauna of the area. Our tour guides have a wealth of local knowledge to share with you.
The exhibition centre depicts the life of Michael Cusack and the history of the G.A.A. Michael Cusack’s home, a famine era thatched cottage has been beautifully and sympathetically restored. You will see where Michael grew up and experience life in Ireland in 1850s. Our audio visual experience will transport you back in time and brings this fascinating story to life. Here at the Michael Cusack Centre all types of tours are welcome. We can cater for and accommodate large or small groups, individuals and families. Large groups may be divided into smaller groups to ensure the optimum enjoyment for all visitors. International visitors can be supplied with a multilingual DVD ensuring that they fully enjoy their experience.

The Michael Cusack centre is an ideal destination for school tours as it combines a modern holographic multimedia exhibit with the very tangible experience of being in the actual house where Michael Cusack was born. This exhibit really brings history to life and for those schools that really want a truly Irish experience the tours can be conducted through Irish by prior arrangement.
The guided tour starts in the exhibition centre and then moves to the restored thatched cottage; there will be a quiz at the end so make sure to listen carefully and who knows you might win a prize! The exhibit is engaging, entertaining and educational.
After the exhibit there is a choice between a guided nature walk in the superb surroundings of the Burren or a treasure hunt. The tour will conclude with the all important Quiz. The tour will take 60 minutes but can be shortened to meet your specific needs.
