The Michael Cusack Centre was officially opened on the 28th November 2006 and later as a visitor attraction on Easter Sunday 2007. Michael Cusack was the founder of Ireland’s and the world’s greatest amateur sporting organisation, the Gaelic Athletic Association. The new visitor centre is located on the site of the old Michael Cusack homestead at Carron in the Burren region of County Clare. The project was started by a voluntary committee and is a non-profit organisation.
